• 2 onions diced
  • 25g butter
  • 1 large Bramley apple
  • 400g of Real Lancashire Black Pudding (or a Real Lancashire Black Pudding VPudd)
  • 400g of good quality Cumberland sausage meat (or vegetarian sauasages with skin removed)
  • Handful of dried Sage
  • 140g Granary breadcrumbs

Delicious with pork, turkey, goose whatever you are having for you Christmas Dinner.

For a vegetarian option substitute the Black Pudding for a Real Lancashire Vegetarian Black Pudding and substitue the sausage meat for Vegetarian sausage meat.

  1. Fry the onion in butter for 5 minutes, then add  the apple and cook for a further few minutes.  Cool, then mix with the remaining ingredients and season.
  2. Use the stuffing to stuff the turkey/goose etc or pack the whole mixture into a 1kg loaf tin and bake in the oven for 30-40mins at 180C and slice to serve.
