- 2 onions diced
- 25g butter
- 1 large Bramley apple
- 400g of Real Lancashire Black Pudding (or a Real Lancashire Black Pudding VPudd)
- 400g of good quality Cumberland sausage meat (or vegetarian sauasages with skin removed)
- Handful of dried Sage
- 140g Granary breadcrumbs
Delicious with pork, turkey, goose whatever you are having for you Christmas Dinner.
For a vegetarian option substitute the Black Pudding for a Real Lancashire Vegetarian Black Pudding and substitue the sausage meat for Vegetarian sausage meat.
- Fry the onion in butter for 5 minutes, then add the apple and cook for a further few minutes. Cool, then mix with the remaining ingredients and season.
- Use the stuffing to stuff the turkey/goose etc or pack the whole mixture into a 1kg loaf tin and bake in the oven for 30-40mins at 180C and slice to serve.
